Overview
Below you will find nine boxes. Each box has between one and five links. These links are grouped around a word or a person that is an important part of Día de los Muertos. Your job is to visit these links and decide which of the nine words on the worksheet is the focus of the links. This sheet will be a punto de partida for your exploration. We will use the information that you collect as the basis for our next discussion on the Day of the Dead.

Instructions
  • Read the vocabulary list on the worksheet.
  • Choose a box and explore the selected links.
  • Pay careful attention to pictures, cognates and words that you can guess from context.
  • When you have an idea of which word is being discussed, write in the corresponding letter on the worksheet.
  • List the Spanish keywords that helped you identify the topic.
  • Give a brief description in English.
  • Follow the model on the worksheet.
